The Caliber 9S86 provides an accuracy of +5 to -3 seconds per day with excellent stability and shock resistance thanks to its 10-beat-per-second rate. The movement’s rotor, which has been turned blue through an anodic oxidation process, is visible through an exhibition case back for the first time in a Grand Seiko mechanical watch with a water resistance of 20 bar.
