A case, crown and pushers made of IWC’s developed material Ceratanium® lend the Pilot's Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Ceratanium® an all-black design. The unique advantages of titanium and ceramic – combined in a single, ground-breaking material. IWC’s material engineers accomplished this feat after a five-year development journey with Ceratanium®. This patented material is as light and unbreakable as titanium, but at the same time similarly hard and scratch-resistant as ceramic. Created in a sophisticated manufacturing process, Ceratanium® is based on a special titanium alloy. In a furnace process, the components not only obtain their outstanding material properties, but also their matte black, metallic colour. The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 TOP GUN Ceratanium® combines a case, crown and pushers made of Ceratanium® with black hands, as well as printing and luminescent material in a subdued white. The all-black design is completed with a tinted sapphire glass case back. The chronograph is powered by the IWC-manufactured 69385 movement. This chronograph movement in classic column-wheel design also features a day and date display at 3 o'clock.
