IWC Schaffhausen Portugieser Automatic
With a silver-plated dial and rhodium-plated hands, this version of the Portugieser Automatic beautifully embodies the typical design cues of the iconic watch family. The magic of iconic design means it is instantly recognized from a distance, and will still be perceived as fresh and modern even through the eyes of future generations. With the Portugieser, IWC created such an icon almost 80 years ago. Today, the Portugieser Automatic beautifully expresses the typical design cues of this watch family, such as the appliquéd Arabic numerals, the railway track chapter ring, and the elegant feuille hands. This version combines a silver-plated dial with rhodium-plated hands and appliqués. The watch is powered by the IWC-manufactured 52010 calibre movement. Featuring an automatic Pellaton winding system fitted with components made of virtually wear-free ceramic, it builds up power reserve of 7 days in two barrels. The mechanical inner workings can be admired through the see-through sapphire-glass back.
